2022 Summer Program

WST is offering Free summer programming this summer at both the WST Campus (101 National Avenue North, Bremerton, WA 98312) 

and at Peninsula High School (14105 Purdy Drive, Gig Harbor, WA 9332). Please read the details of each session below. 

West Sound Tech Campus Summer Session: 

June 27th - July 14th, 2022


All classes will be held at the WST Campus in Bremerton - 101 National Avenue North Bremerton, WA 98312. Classes are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Students will be given an assignment to complete at home after class each day. There is no school on July 4th. 

.      Students must have their own transportation to and from campus

.      Classes are open to all students who will be in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade for the 2022-2023 school year

.      The program is free for all students. 

·      Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all students. 

.      Students will earn a .5 CTE elective credit 

.      Attendance is crucial to success. Students missing more than one day of class (aside from the July 4th holiday) will be ineligible to earn                  credit.

Peninsula High School Campus Summer Session: 

July 5th - July 22nd, 2022

Classes will be held at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor. Classes are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

. Free breakfast and lunch for all students

. Free transportation for students living within Peninsula School District boundaries. 

. Courses are free

. Classes are open to students entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. 

. Attendance is crucial to success. Students missing more than one day of class will be ineligible to earn credit.

.5 Credit | CTE & World Language Grad Requirements

This class will introduce you to the language and culture of Deaf people in the United States. We will focus on specific language and cultural behaviors, as well as introduce students to the grammar of ASL. You will learn to use both expressive and receptive skills through interactive activities. 



.5 Credit | CTE and a Grad Requirement in PSD

CCFE equips you with the knowledge and skills that will help connect high school to your plans after you graduate with education and employment. You will explore careers, college opportunities and understand the steps to achieve success. You will learn about being a consumer, a saver, and a planner!


.5 Credit | CTE & Art Grad Requirements

You’ll learn and apply the basic elements of art and the principles of design using the digital camera and photo software as your tools. You will get to know digital photographic equipment, materials, methods, and processes. Visual problem-solving skills are explored using the computer and software.



.5 Credit | CTE & Science Grad Requirements

This is an introduction to the study of the natural world and how it is influenced by human activity. Students will explore the patterns and processes of Earth and how these are affected by natural and human impacts. You will learn about the environment specific to our area with field trips.



.5 Credit | CTE Grad Requirement

Health includes the physical, mental, social, and emotional aspects of wellness. You will learn about body systems, nutrition, develop goals, resolve conflict, and analyze responsibilities related to human sexuality, the use of drugs, disease transmission, and First Aid/CPR.



.5 Credit | CTE Grad Requirement

You will be exposed to the skill of visual communication to represent ideas and concepts through the design process. Using critical thinking skills, collaboration, and feedback, you will find creative visual solutions while designing many of your own projects.



.5 Credit | CTE Grad Requirement

This course is designed for students with an interest in video communications. Students will plan, prepare, design, develop, edit, and evaluate videos from a communication and entertainment perspective. You will create video productions that will demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
